The Effect of Adding Organic Matter on the Efficiency of Salts Leaching in the Soil Affected by Salinity

Abstract A field experiment was implemented at the Agricultural Research Station / college of Agriculture Basra University, Karma Ali, during year 2021 to study effect adding organic matter in efficiency salts leaching soil affected by salinity using three types residuses (cows, rice, and miaze ) two levels From addition (2 % 4 %), where process took five stages, laboratory measurements were performed models taken for depths 0-15 cm 15-30 cm. The land plowed blessed, then residule added mix with surface layer. Soil after each stage leaching, bulk density measured end experiment, included: electrical conducyivity solution, concentration dissolved sodium chlorine solution density. results showed that led reducing conductivity, sodium, chloride density, decrease more clear ’in cows treatment, as fifth stagewere significant conducctivity soil, also 4% on 2% conducyivity, soil.
